BioLiving Association organizes Birdwatching activity in Frossos The Bioliving Association, with the support of the City Municipality of Albergaria-a-Velha and CARA (Environmental and Radical Activities Centre), organizes in the next saturday, october 1st, a birdwatching activity, included in the Eurobirdwatch 2016 (The European Weekend of Birdwathcing).
It starts at 8am, in Boca do Carreiro Park, in Frossos and it has the cost of 2,5€ for BioLiving associates and 3€ for non-associates.
Eurobirdwatch is the biggest european event dedicated to birdwatching and it wants to raise awareness of the migratory birds and their habitats. Since 1993, local entities of different Europe countries have been organizing activities such as tours, walks, contests and fairs in the first weekend of october, in order to alert the community to the preservation of birds and their ecosystems.
Specialists, beginners and lovers of photography and nature are invited to the tour prepared by BioLiving Association, where participants will learn to distinguish the twittering of the different bird species that make Pateira de Frossos their home or transition place. This iniciative is guided by the biologist Milene Matos and it lasts three and a half hours.
Enrolments must be made through Internet, in http://tinyurl.com/EuroBirdwatch and are limited to 20 participants, with a minimum age of 6 years old. This activity is dependent of favourable weather conditions. For further information, you can contact geral.bioliving@gmail.com.

With over 200 volunteers, it aims to promote sustainability, environmental citizenship and public participation in nature conservation projects. Amongst the several activities held, tree planting, natural habitats restoration and valuing actions of the endogenous resources, stand out.
